Lab Policies:
- Clear and clean tabletops of materials, testing equipment, etc. after use. Always leave the area cleaner than you found it.
- Change your gloves if they become contaminated with EGaIn, uncured polymers, or other materials that could easily spread.
- Clean contaminated surfaces immediately. If you see EGaIn, uncured polymers, or fluids on a surface – clean immediately! This includes flooring.
- Please communicate in English if working around others. When working in a shared space, it’s important that others can understand what you are doing and anticipate activities in their immediate vicinity
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times! PPE: lab coats, safety glasses, gloves, and shoe covers.
- No lab coats, gloves, or shoe covers outside of the lab space to reduce contamination of other spaces.
- Vacation: I generally like the N2 policy that is used by most tech companies. So, if you want to take 5 days off, please let me know 25 days in advance (N2). There is no set number of days per year, however I expect you're in good standing within your courses and caught up on your research.
